Prices
On the 'Home Page' there is the opportunity to purchase a number of different solar-electric kits. Whilst this may suit you well if you know exactly what you want, and are working to a tight budget, the majority of our customers opt for a bespoke design - and individual pricing.
In this fast-changing financial and technological environment we can only give a 'snapshot' of such individual costs involved and our price list is not therefore a quotation but rather an attempt to give you a 'ball park' figure for the various components that you will require.
Motors
We supply three different makes of and several models within those makes. Solomon products are priced in U S dollars (USD), whilst Thoosa and Bellmann are in Euros. Our prices download is in Excel format and you will see that there is a field near the top where you can enter the current exchange rate if you require prices in Pounds Sterling (GBP)
Whilst both Thoosa and Bellmann include the controllers, connection boxes, and mounts in their base price that is not the case with Solomon. All three manufacturers give you options on throttle(s) and instruments.
Chargers
We can provide a selection of cross-chargers, shore-chargers and inverters, but you may well wish to discuss these items with us as the capacity of each is dependant upon a number of design factors.
Generators and Batteries
We need to discuss these items with you before we can provide you with even a 'budget cost'.
Solar Power
Again there is a tremendous choice available. clearly a factor will be £/wp (price per peak watt output) but you will need to consider the most appropriate type of panel for your application - some for instance do better in diffuse light conditions. If you are installing panels on board a boat you will need to match your panel output voltage to your battery charging current, whilst on-shore you may well be looking to provide an 'on-grid' system - outputting at 230 vac.
