Electric Boat Motors
Inboard electric motors fall into two basic categories, DC and AC. As a rule of thumb DC motors are quieter, smaller, less powerful and less expensive; whilst AC motors are for larger boats, can be somewhat noisier, are maintenance-free and heavier.
We also supply DC motors as part of a hybrid system that allows you to use either your existing IC engine or (by means of a clutch) change to electric power.
There are further possibilities in the use of Pod motors or a Sail-drive option.
We sell the full range Torqeedo electric outboard motors online.
You may also want to browse our peripherals pages to obtain information on batteries, mains chargers, cross chargers and inverters
