About Us

Enviroboat Developments (EBD) is a private limited company established as a 'spin-off' from Coniston Ferry Services (CFS), a cruise and ferry service in the English Lake District that the directors of EBD founded in 1992. Practical experience of installing and operating hybrid solar-electric boat systems was gained in the conversion of the two CFS boats 'Ransome' and'Ruskin'.

EBD is the UK Motive Power Agent for Mastervolt, an international company based in Holland, that incorporates Bellman and Aquapella motors.

We are also the well-established European agent for Technipower, a USA based firm whose products have the reputation of being one of the most robust of marine electric propulsion systems.
We are a Distributor for Torqeedo, arguably the best electric outboard manufacturer in the world.
We also source components from several other suppliers, notably Barden and Dulas,

We have always provided solar panels for the boating industry, and this now includes the sale of Solara panel kits for battery maintenance.
